| Features
- A closed, well-insulated chamber guarantees a stable, disturbance-free
environment for the glass bending process
- Extremely smooth wagon transfer has been achieved through
controlling the speed with a frequency converter.
- The heating elements located in the bending section allow
precise control of the bending process
- Automatic, vertically adjustable heaters facilitate the
bending of glass units with tight radii on the folds
- Fully automated control, based on continuous measurement
of glass temperatures with an optical infrared pyrometer,
maintains consistent quality, irrespective of changes in the
production mix or the operator's skill
- A manual mode is available for the production of individual
items, maintenance and programming, while an automatic mode
ensures minimal deviations in bending shapes.
The R&D generates innovations
Due to the continuous and innovative development efforts, the
current product range is world-class and the furnaces manufactured
contain several unique properties.
- The control system with optical pyrometer(s) guarantees
excellent repeatability of shape and easy use of the furnace,
while allowing the optimization of the capacity of the furnace
at the same time. The Vertically Adjustable Heating Elements,
VAHE™, further enhance the repeatability of shape.
- The patented FuzzyBend™ control system gives clear
advantages for 8-10 wagon systems. It practically eliminates
the effects of the changing production mix, the heat balance
of the furnace, external conditions and variations in the
supply voltage.
- The heaters in the bending section can be provided with
divisions of five instead of three, 5-part Heating Elements.
- The Temperature Balancing system consisting of one extra
pyrometer in the bending section guarantees symmetrical heating.
The glass temperature is symmetrically measured and if variations
are noted, the control system automatically balances the heating
pattern.
- Extra heating elements placed on the mould can now be divided
into three parts, 3-part Extra Heating Elements.
- Automatic Central Support consists of motors outside the
furnace in the bending section and a mechanical support system
in each wagon. It can support the glass or the mould depending
on the system being used.
- The loading station can be equipped with a loading device,
which allows the operator to lift and flip the windscreen
completely out of the wagons. It consists of 4 lifting pins
in a pit under the loading/unloading area and a manual glass
'flipping' device with horizontal roller arms, the FlipFlap™.
- The Condition Monitoring and Maintenance System (CMMS™),
a preventive maintenance feature, minimizes downtime and maximizes
hours of operation.
- Glassrobots' technicians can easily communicate with the
process computer via a modem with the remote diagnostic software,
GlassButler™.
