August 12, 2010 GUARDIAN INDUSTRIES CHOOSES GLASSROBOTS ROBOTEMP TO REXDALE, CANADA
One of the world’s largest manufacurers of float glass and advanced fabricated glass products, Guardian Industries, have chosen Glassrobots’ fully convection flat tempering technology to their new processing plant in Rexdale, Ontario.
Based on the good experience gained from the two former RoboTemp machines in the North American plants of Guardian, the company knows that with Glassrobots technology they will get the highest capacity and best quality of end products on the market.
The RoboTemp furnace is capable of adjusting temperature distribution over large glass sheets during treatment. Also the furnace is capable of sustained heavy loading without loss of power, keeping the same capacity with back-to-back loadings and maintaining quality. |

July 6, 2010 GLASSROBOTS HAS SUPPLIED THE MACHINERY TO
A NEW AREA – UZBEKISTAN
JSC Avtooyna is located in Fergana city and is supplying car glazing for the assembling conveyors of “GM Uzbekistan” and for some other local customers.
After several years of production Avtooyna was requested to increase the capacity and the same time to become technically able to produce glazing for any commercial car model currently presented on the market.
As a result of negotiations and comparison with other competitors’ products, Avtooyna has chosen Glassrobots as a supplier.
The equipment delivered was Glassrobots windscreen bending furnace TFA 3evolution 120/240/10-22F and autoclave AC 220/500. They were successfully taken into production in the spring 2010.
After several months of operation we have got an additional reaction from the customer that the bending furnace from Glassrobots was the correct choice. The furnace is easy to operate and the same time is technically ready to meet even more complicated windshield shapes than they produce at the moment. Optics and shape accuracy are even better than they were expected to be.
Special thanks were transferred to Glassrobots from the furnace operators.
They were impressed with a user friendly interface, an outstanding capability of the heating process control and with the fact that the furnace is equipped with an “internal nurse” – Condition Monitoring and Maintenance System (CMMS) that shows the operator when and what to do with the furnace to keep it in order.

January 20, 2010 GLASSROBOTS AT EXHIBITIONS IN 2010.

High-end solutions on show
Glassrobots, an experienced Finnish supplier of safety glass technology will feature its tempering, bending and laminating technology innovations for architectural and automotive glass applications at exhibitions in 2010.
Glassrobots offers a full convection tempering furnace to the market. The growing use of coated glass, especially low-E glass, combined with the trend to produce extremely flat surfaces for the growing solar glass market, set glass processing companies a challenge. Glassrobots answer is RoboTemp™.
RoboTemp™ is recognized as the furnace that produces the best possible quality you can achieve – especially for soft coated low-E glass. It has the fastest heating time, utmost important for the PV-panel market, and the highest capacity. With low-E glass, it achieves 29 seconds/mm of thickness. The system tempers clear low-iron glass for cover panels and active (coated) glass for PV-panels. Glassrobots has delivered the largest full convection flat tempering furnace in the world, handling maximum glass size of 3.2 m x 8 m. Glassrobots is continuing to look into the development of even larger furnaces. In fact furnaces are ready to take 3.3 m already. To date, Glassrobots has sold 25 RoboTemp™ machines. Glassrobots is convinced that quality has become an increasingly important competition factor for the glass market. High speed accuracy and even distribution of heating – especially convection heating – creates savings in operation and quality product.
High quality tempered glass is also easy to laminate. Glassrobots new generation high convection Flat Laminating Line FLL is an innovative solution for laminating e.g. coated tempered glass and special glass in particular.
Glassrobots new high capacity tunnel furnace TFA 4C™ for OEM car windscreens completes the range of Glassrobots windscreen bending technology.
Other products: Windscreen bending technology TFA3evolution™, bus windscreen bending technology, vacuum de-airing equipment, architectural bending furnaces, autoclaves.

Mrs. Tarja Halonen, the President of the Republic
of Finland, has on March 18, 2004 awarded Glassrobots Oy for
the company’s year 2003 achievements in international business
operations. The President of the Republic emphasizes the importance
of foreign trade both as the corner-stone of Finnish economy,
and in steering globalization in general. |
The fifth
President’s Internationalization
Awards continue the 31-year old tradition of the President’s
Export Awards. The grounds on which the three award-winners are
chosen reflect the challenges of an altered operating environment
as well as the companies’ ability to develop and implement
new operational methods in their internationalization processes.
The candidate evaluation is done by Finpro in collaboration with
the Association for Finnish Work. The Awards are donated by the
Finnish Fair Corporation.
Vice President Hannu Leiponen from Finpro
points out some of the characteristics for today’s award-winners:
successful and profitable operations, networking and innovativeness
in developing both operations and products. – When we evaluated
the 30 candidates, one critical aspect was the creation of new
know-how to the whole industry sector. Besides that we also assessed
the employment effects to the whole Finnish society.
